Yolo County will continue to be a community that preserves its small-town character and values its agriculture and open space. Yolo County and the City of Woodland celebrate its unique history and agricultural past, embraces its multi-cultural diversity and protects its abundant natural resources. We value nature above commercialism, dark star-filled skies at night above the glare of urban lights, and the sound of crickets and frogs above the noise of traffic. We are proud to be a multi-cultural community and wish to highlight this feature as we develop the annual tomato festival. We embrace our diversity and welcome everyone who wishes to participate and contribute to our community.

Our goal is to attract local farmers, artisans, craftspeople and non-profit organizations to be a part of the larger celebration of Yolo Counties agricultural heritage. In so doing we will attract the citizens of Yolo County and surrounding areas to venture forth and participate in this annual event.

Cordially,

Steve Radosevich
Woodland Tomato Festival Steering Committee
